Saw Kill Bill Vol2 on Sunday. Near empty cinema. Near full experience. Interesting use of chinese martial arts when japanese martial arts fail.

Nearly fainted at kendo tonight. Heat exhaustion and associated headache, probably due to the men (I haven’t worn them for more than a year - a men is the helmet :P). Perhaps I kiai (shout) with too much spirit?

Finished a first draft of a CV… not too sure about content though as it seems more like a portfolio listing…

Taken from Lauren, Tim, Josh, and many others I bet :P
Grab the nearest book.
Open the book to page 23.
Find the fifth sentence.
Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

Lately…

I saw Kill Bill Vol1. Katana is good.
Trying to read ‘As I Lay Dying’. Muchos incomprehendos.
Saw a few films at Uni through auma, aufs, and jafs. One was by Adelaide filmmakers, who were there to talk to us. Quality film.
Recieved the Koss Ksc-35’s I bought online. Aural Cloud Ninerino.

Things I did over the holidays:

Finished and handed up two essays,

Setup a computer dad got from work (they were throwing out), and got it networked to the fast computer,

Got back into Judo (Kendo as of next week),

Watched a few Kurosawa films (eg Rashomon and Seven Samurai, both very good movies),

Met up with a few friends,

And nothing much else…

Things I did over the weekend:

Drove half the way to Melb,

Entertained Jay in various ways (it’s so cute when he tries to ask a question in babbling - so much concentration on his face!),

Went to Lunar Park,

Ate way too much at the (Greek family get-together) easter lunch at Chris’s parent’s place (they cook for three times the people - but great food :D),

Watched The Pink Panther Strikes Again,

Saw a really really bad 3D Imax film,

Entertained Jay some more,

Snowboarded while singing to U2 songs late at night in Chris’s Xbox game Amped!, and also climbed from rank 84 to 79,

Drove half the way to Adel,

Crashed into bed at 9.40pm, a first for a number of years I think.

Hey Josh - love the Bierce quote, and might use it in my essay on his An Occurance At Owl Creek Bridge.

I spent the long weekend in Melbourne. I drove down with Hank and Evan (got up at 5am :S), taking turns at the wheel. In the small sporty Rover hatch it was a rather nice drive, even though the tape player would only play tapes (and my iRiver) at a low volume. Reaching Melbourne and driving in an automatic, it felt strangely reminiscent of big city driving games, like Vice City (hmm, I could expand on that in an essay discussing the bridge between reality and virtual games…). It’s a totally different driving environment than Adelaide, with it’s wide and curvy roads (half due to being built upon itself, instead of being fully planned out from the start) and mostly non-selfish drivers; makes it a rather pleasureable experience.

gtg, but one last sentence:

Jay is so ceeeeaaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!!

Found the camera… was next to the N64, which I have not touched since bringing back from Josh’s…
