Well, I now type as a 19 year old. I had a great day (even though I was writing up assignments). :D

I just got my first birthday present (from my Dad) - ringie Tolkien novels. I’m not sure if I’ll get around to reading them, not much of a reader I am. If it was Red Dwarf however…

For those that want to know, there’ll be two lectures on The Matrix (for English 1B students, but eh…) at 2.10pm on Thursday 24th and Tuesday 29th of Oct. at the Florey theatre, medical school north level 1. I’m not sure if they’ll be interesting or not, but I’d say they should be.

Due to popular demand, here is another post, brought to you by me. :P I have been busy studying up for three major essays due in less than 2 (and three) weeks time (5000 words).

On friday Aki, her mum and I went out for dinner in chinatown [we also went out for dinner the next night too (at the Suzuki Seafood Restaurant)]… Aki and I went to a DVD store there (which have pretty good prices on hire mind you), and they were showing Ice Age on the tv there. We had looked at Ezydvd.com.au and atlanticdvd.com.au prior to this, and their prices were $35 and $30 respectively. We asked how much they were selling Ice Age for $29, so Aki and I decided to get it (she managed to get it down by a dollar :D hehehe ). I unfortunately heard from my Dad today that they are selling it at BigW for $27 dollars or something like that… oh well.

The dvd is great. Superb menus, good making of section, and the extra 5 minute movie “Gone Nutty” is utterly hilarious :P. I guess I can’t get enough of the scrat.

Just finished watching Dances with Wolves on DVD… and yesterday I watched Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. I watched these incase there was anything relevant to one of my essays (such as non-verbal communication during a speech act, which would be quite evident in an animated movie).

I have decided not to go to Kendo tonight, as there is a spot on my left ulna bone (outside forearm) that currently hurts when I swing a Shinai or Bokken, let alone a Suburito. I think Khung hit it last week (he also went for a Tsuki as I was closing towards him which due to my slightly lifted head met one of my neck muscles on contact; one of my glands was enlarged for a few days :S), but I like his style.
