My my my! Quite a while since the last post… I just found a post which i hadn’t actually posted properly… here it is:
“New Years Eve was ok, photos are at snap.to/gihsphotos. I’ll be on a houseboat away from civilisation from this Sunday the 6th Jan for around a week and a half, so you won’t see me around for a while..”
Anyhoo, I’m back now in Adelaide, arrived on Tuesday (15th jan) arvo, and unfortunately missed the sleepover at Bec’s place that night. Oh well, there’s always next time. The houseboat was pretty good, quite like the one I was on when I was four (I found little memories of that coming back..). I started to read LotR, read the note on the text, foreword to the second edition, and the prologue (concerning Hobbits, and other matters), but didn’t get any further, as of yet. I took 458 photos during the voyage down the River Murray, over 200 of which were of panoramas, and animations of Hydrosliding. We went Hydrosliding, which is also known as Kneeboarding (being pulled along with a ski rope by a dingy or speedboat). That I’d have to say was the main highlight of the week. It made my arms so sore, I couldn’t even grasp a Lemon Ruski bottle (either full OR empty), and by the second day of Hydrosliding I developed bruises on the insides of my elbows, making it painful to straighten my arms. Quite a weird experience. I also played a lot of cards, playing games such as Patience, Freecell, Spider, and some other games which I can’t remember the names of. Shuffling became quite addictive. Just before sleep one night, I started shuffling cards, and just couldn’t stop… Not sure If I’m as good as Mak yet, I guess I have to see her shuffle again.
Oh, Dad got a new burner (16×10x40) while I was away, and an extra 128mb ram. Good news. Now I have to finish producing the GIHS Photos cd…
